If you are tired of buying new toys every time your little one whines and bawls because you think nothing gets outdated as fast as toys for a growing child, this may just be the answer to your woes. Toypedia — a toy library with branches both in Vasant Kunj and Gurgaon — gives kids cool, environment healthy toy options to choose from, without the hassles of storage, wasted money and frequent trips to the market.

“The concept of toy libraries is commonplace and popular in other countries, so I thought I should get it here too. Just like any other library, you can rent out toys at an affordable price, play with them and then return them,” says Vishal Golchha, the owner of the toy library.

From Barbie dolls to building blocks, puzzles, walkers, slides, trampolines and clay play, there is a wide array of options for little ones to choose from. It gets you an opportunity to give your kids the best of toys, some of which are otherwise priced exorbitantly. “Parents can take 4 toys + 4 books a month for an average monthly subscription of just R550. We have over 3000 items for children from six months to eight years of age,” says Vishal.

One more interesting thing is that you don’t even have to go to the outlet; the service of home delivery is also available. “Toypedia provides free home delivery and pickup in South Delhi, Gurgaon and Dwarka,” says the owner.

If your concern is that these toys are not hygienic, the owner assures it is not so. “We maintain strict hygiene of toys. We have a three-step sanitisation process for all toys,” says Vishal.
