Newest to the fitness bandwagon is the Bing Health & Fitness app, which provides hundreds of workouts, nutrition information and plenty of other resources.
Runtastic Six Pack Abs - Android, iOS
Want the washboard stomach you've always dreamed about? Check out Six Pack Abs, a top recommendation by the experts at Men's Fitness.
The app features about 20 core-strengthening exercises and lifelike avatars showing you the moves so as to avoid injury. This inexpensive app also features music playlists based on workout intensity.
Developed by Runtastic, the app is currently available via the iTune App Store and Google Play Store. It's free to download, however any upgrades will cost ya.
Hot5 - iOS
Highly recommended by Health.com's Jennifer Cohen, Hot5 offers "pages and pages" of 5-minute, easy-to-follow workouts.
Pick from yoga, core workouts, flexibility options and just about anything else you can think of.
Use it as your entire workout or as an add-on to your current routine. It's free and works on iPhones.

The folks at Active.com recommend Virtual Runner among their top fitness apps of 2014. An app that takes you on a virtual journey of "iconic" race courses as you sweat it out on the treadmill, the app is easy to use and works with the iPhone and iPad.
The app's videos require a lot of storage, however, so it's recommended you download them on your computer, then manually select ones you want to use on your iPad or iPhone.
Zombies, Run! 2 - iOS, Android
People just can't seem to get enough of zombies, with the undead creatures staggering their way into the fitness world.
This action-packed app features a variety of imagination-based "tasks" as you run or jog, which naturally include saving fellow humans and running away from said zombies.
Now that's a way to enhance your jog around the neighborhood. This app is inexpensive and works for both iPhones and Android.
