Actor Carrie Fisher had a secret affair with her Star Wars co-star Harrison Ford.
“It was so intense. It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend,” Fisher has revealed in her book The Princess Diarist, as obtained by people.com.
The 60-year-old recalls in her memoir about having self-doubts.
“I looked over at Harrison. A hero’s face - a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow. How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?”.
According to the actress, Ford seduced her in Tunisia while she was drunk. Their first night together didn’t really impress her, but she forgave him because “he really was handsome.”
“I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him. He was kind,” the excerpts read.
Fisher hoped he would propose with a “gold band with diamonds (inscribed) ‘Carrison’,” but their fling came to an end after the filming was wrapped.
Ford, who was married back then, returned to his wife Mary Marquardt and their two sons although his marriage later fell apart. Despite their affair, Fisher insists his divorce happened “for reasons having nothing whatsoever to do with me.”
Soon after the story made headlines, Fisher, who essayed Princess Leia in Star Wars took to Twitter and posted: “I would never talk about how someone was in any furniture--chair, bed, coffee table or otherwise.”
