Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg recently revealed that he was interested in taking over the role of the superhero, Iron Man, from Robert Downey Jr in the future.
The 42-year-old actor said that he almost starred in a Batman film and now he seems enthusiastic about Iron Man, in which the title role is currently played by Robert, said a report. “I would like to take over the Iron Man franchise for Robert Downey Jr. But it’s one of those things where I kind of like playing real people, so I’ve never been asked,” says Mark, adding, “Once I was kind of being talked about for the Robin role in Batman Forever (1995).”
Mark is currently shooting for his next film, Transformers 4. He will be introduced as the new leading man of the franchise with this release.
