Russell Peters returns to tour India

The hit stand-up comic is all set to perform in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru in October.

Russell Peters is back. Starting October 25 (in Delhi), the Canadian stand-up comic will travel around India, hoping to leave audiences in splits with his new show, The Russell Peters Notorious World Tour. He will perform at the Wilson College Grounds in the city on October 27.

According to the organisers, the tour has been on the road for more than a year and has travelled to South Africa, Singapore, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Australia and parts of northern Europe, among other places. “Russell has such a strong Indian fan base, so we’re really excited to bring him down to tour Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi and Chennai,” says Vijay Nair, CEO of Only Much Louder (OML).

The Russell Peters Notorious World Tour has been produced in India by Nair’s company. He adds, “It’s great that the comic culture is picking up, and we’re looking to do more with stand-up comedy soon.” The performance in Mumbai will be followed by another in Chennai (on October 29). Peters’s tour will come to an end in Bengaluru on October 31.
