8-year-old tiger’s carcass found in Bandipura reserve
A decomposed carcass of a tiger was found in Mallayyanakatte lake on outskirts of Choudahalli village in Gundlupet taluk of Chamarajanagara district, in Karnataka on Tuesday, said an officer aware of the matter. The death occurred under Bandipura tiger reserve jurisdiction, said the officer . According to preliminary reports from the forest department, the eight-year-old tiger's carcass was found in the lake. The remains were found by a farmer, said the officer.

Two killed after vehicle belonging to BJP MLA’srelative hits several cars
Two motorists were killed and four others were injured after a vehicle belonging to a relative of BJP MLA Hartalu Halappa rammed into several vehicles in central Bengaluru on Monday, police said, adding the driver was taken into custody for interrogation. Halappa is the legislator from Sagar constituency in Shivamogga. He is also the chairman of Mysore Sales International Limited. The vehicle belonging to the MLA's relative ran over Majeed Khan (36), a resident of HBR Layout and an automobile spare parts dealer, police said.

Chandrayaan-3’s likely landing sites finalised
The Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro) has finalised the coordinates of three possible landing sites for its third lunar mission ? Chandrayaan-3 ? expected to be launched later this year. All the probable landing sites are on the moon's south polar region on the side facing earth, senior scientists from the space agency said on Tuesday. Chandrayaan-3, expected to be launched at the end of 2023, will have a lander and a rover.

Assam detention centres for foreigners used to jail child marriage accused
Silchar: The Assam government has converted two of its detention centres for foreigners into temporary prisons for those arrested for their involvement in child marriages in the state, officials said on Tuesday. State police has already lodged 4,074 cases and arrested 2,510 individuals till Tuesday afternoon, according to Prashanta Kumar Bhuyan, inspector general of police, law and order. Far, 450 arrested persons have been shifted there.
