Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who is on a three-day visit to India, held bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and called on President Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi on Saturday.
Rouhani, who arrived from Hyderabad to Delhi late on Friday evening, was accorded a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday.
The Iranian and Indian contingents are likely to review the progress achieved in bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
On Friday, Rouhani addressed a congregation of Muslims after performing Friday prayers at the historic Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad.

Nine pacts have been signed between India and Iran, including on double taxation avoidance, visa liberalisation as well as to ratify extradition treaty.

Highlights of Rouhani’s India visit
• Rouhani, who is a senior Shia cleric, on Friday visited the historic Mecca Masjid, a Sunni mosque, in Hyderabad to offer prayers and called for unity among Muslims across the world.
In his 30-minute public speech in Persian, said to be the first by a any country’s leader in this mosque, Rouhani urged Muslims to treat all human beings with love and affection in the true spirit of Islam. “If Islam is presented before the world in true sense, then the whole world will love this religion,” he said.
• Earlier, the Iranian delegation visited the historic Golconda Fort and Qutub Shahi tombs Hyderabad. They went around the Qutub Shahi tombs complex, housing mausoleums of rulers of the Qutub Shahi Dynasty (1518-1687) who had Iranian lineage.
• Meanwhile, Iran has expressed willingness to share its vast oil and natural gas resources with India and simplify visa norms to strengthen bilateral ties.
Rouhani also said the current century belongs to Asia where New Delhi and Tehran have an important role to play.
The Chabahar port in the Gulf country will open up the transit route for India to Iran and Afghanistan (bypassing Pakistan), Central Asian countries and Europe, he told the congregation at the historic Mecca Masjid after offering Friday prayers.
The president said Iran is hopeful India will reciprocate by simplifying visa rules to enhance people-to-people contact.
