Low rainfall likely over northwest India in next 5 days: IMD
Subdued rainfall activity is likely over northwest India during next five days and central India in the next three days, India Meteorological Department said on Thursday. Widespread and heavy rain will continue over parts of east and northeast India in the next 3-4 days. A well marked low pressure area is lying over southwest Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan. A cyclonic circulation is lying over northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood.

India sends search and rescue teams to Turkey, relief material to Syria
NEW DELHI: India on Tuesday sent specialist search and rescue teams with dog squads, an army mobile hospital team and relief materials in two military heavy lift aircraft to Turkey, where the death toll continued to rise following Monday's massive earthquake. More than 50 search and rescue personnel from the National Disaster Response Force, specially trained dog squads, drilling machines, relief material, medicines and other equipment were despatched on a C-17 Globemaster aircraft early on Monday.
