MP CM Mohan Yadav removes Raisen SP after rape of six-year-old, accused absconding
The 23-year-old lured the minor to a forest near her home on the pretext of giving her chocolates on November 21.
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday removed Raisen superintendent of police (SP) Pankaj Pandey, three days after a 23-year-old allegedly raped a six-year-old girl in the district.

CM Yadav convened a high-level meeting at the police headquarters with the chief secretary, director general of police, additional director general (intelligence) and the Bhopal police commissioner.
“The CM expressed strong displeasure over the failure to arrest the accused,” an officer, requesting anonymity, said.
According to the police, the 23-year-old lured the minor to a forest near her home on the pretext of giving her chocolates on November 21.
“He then raped her and fled. The girl was later found in the forest and was taken to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal, where she is currently undergoing treatment,” the officer said.
The accused remains at large even after four days.
Residents staged a sit-in protest outside the Gauharganj police station for three days, demanding his immediate arrest.
Before the CM removed SP Pandey, he had said that around 20 police teams had been deployed to track down the accused.
