The senior leader said he was in New Delhi to file the nomination form and after that, he will return to join the Congress's ongoing 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'. Stones were thrown at Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray's car last night during a meeting in Maharashtra's Aurangabad, party leader Ambadas Danve said Wednesday. The incident occurred in the village of Mahalgaon during Thackeray's Shivsanvad Yatra, when his program clashed with Ramabai Ambedkar birth anniversary celebrations, news agency ANI said. PIB fact check unit busted 1,160 fake news cases since 2019: Govt to Lok Sabha

The fact check unit of the Press Information Bureau busted 1,160 cases of false information since its inception in November 2019, union minister for information & broadcasting Anurag Singh Thakur in reply to the Lok Sabha said on Tuesday. In 2019, 17 fake news were busted by the fact check unit, rising to 394 cases busted in 2020. In 2021, 285 instances of fake news were debunked, growing to 338 instances in 2022.

New Delhi: India is planning to send a sixth C-17 heavy lift transport aircraft with relief material and medicine to help earthquake hit Turkiye today with the aircraft carrying humanitarian aid flying a circuitous route via Iran as Pakistan does not give permission to Indian military aircraft. India needs a biodiversity strategy that includes conserving landscapes that humans and wildlife share since only 15% of the country's top conservation priority areas are covered under the protected area network, a study published in the peer-reviewed journal Nature Sustainability has recommended. Eighteen scientists led by Bengaluru's National Centre for Biological Sciences conducted the study, which was published on Monday. They have called for providing crucial ecosystem services such as carbon and water.

CBI arrests Hyderabad's CA, former aide of KCR's daughter, in Delhi liquor case: Report

The CBI on Wednesday arrested Butchi Babu Gorantla, a Hyderabad-based chartered accountant for his alleged role in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi excise policy, news agency ANI reported. Butchubabu Gorantla is believed to be a former aide of Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao's daughter MLC Kavitha whose name has already been dragged into the case. This is not the first time that the CA's name has come up in the case.
