Passengers travelling abroad will need to carry a negative RT-PCR test report with a QR code from Saturday, the Union ministry of civil aviation said in a set of guidelines issued last week to ensure minimum physical contact. "The airline operators are advised to accept only those passengers who are carrying a negative RT-PCR test report with QR code for boarding international flights departing from India after 0001 hours on 22nd May 2021," the ministry said in a release.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a charge sheet against eight accused in the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission alleged paper leak case, said a release by the agency on Friday. The charge sheet was filed in the court of a special judge at Yupia in Arunachal Pradesh in connection with the investigation of the alleged leakage of the question paper of the examination conducted by APPSC for the post of assistant engineer (civil).

Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday morning condemned the RPG (rocket-propelled grenade) attack on a police station in Punjab's Tarn Taran, and said those responsible would be caught. Unknown individuals attacked the police station in Tarn Taran's Sarhali with a RPG at 11.22 pm on Friday, police sources confirmed this morning. Sources told news agency PTI the grenade did not actually explode.
The Supreme Court is set to hear Bilkis Bano's petition - challenging the early release of rape convicts - on December 13. A bench of justices Ajay Rastogi and Bela Trivedi will hear the matter. The release of the convicts in August had triggered nationwide outrage. Bilkis Bano had moved the top court against the release on November 30.

She was detained amid huge protests. She has been waging the battle against KCR for several days now.
Some unknown miscreants attacked Sarhali police station in Punjab's Tarn Taran with a rocket-propelled grenade during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, police sources said. Sarhali came under attack at around 1am on Saturday, said police. The rocket was recovered from the police station. This is the second such incident in Punjab in the last seven months where the police station was attacked with a rocket.

State capital Chennai and nearby areas in Chengalpattu district received heavy rainfall. Initial estimates say 100 trees have fallen and power supply has been affected in five areas. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh for the family of the eight-year-old boy who died after falling in a borewell in the state's Betul area, about 170 km from the capital city of Bhopal. The eight-year-old fell into the borewell on December 6 and the rescue operations were launched soon after. Despite massive efforts, Tanmay Sahu could not be saved.
