Youth stops Rajdhani Express to take a selfie
This is not the first incident of its kind. Three students had placed a stone on a track near Tundla a year ago to stop the Bhubaneswar Rajdhani for a selfie. All three were arrested but released on bail as they were minors.
A youth waved a red cloth to stop the Delhi-bound Sealdah Rajdhani Express near Pora railway station in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh district in order to take a selfie with the train on Friday morning, police said.
The youth fled after taking the selfie, giving the driver, who had applied emergency brakes to stop the train, no opportunity to catch him.
A case was registered with the government railway police at Hathras on orders from officials at North Central Railway headquarters in Allahabad.
The Rajdhani Express heading for the national capital was slightly behind schedule. The Garib Rath Express and three goods train were halted temporarily following the incident.
