Bare Facts: Coy Shweta Turns Her Back, Spits Fire

Shweta Menon seems to have too high an opinion of herself as an actress. Or else, she is so naive that she actually thinks, filmmakers sign her to exploit her talent and not her sex appeal. The model-turned-actress made Bhupeshwar Tyagi, the producer-director of her forthcoming film, Tu Bal Brahmachari Main Hoon Kanya Kunwari, apologise to her for having put up a publicity banner of the film in Mumbai, showing her bare back.

Shweta Menon seems to have too high an opinion of herself as an actress. Or else, she is so naïve that she actually thinks, filmmakers sign her to exploit her talent and not her sex appeal. The model-turned-actress made Bhupeshwar Tyagi, the producer-director of her forthcoming film, Tu Bal Brahmachari Main Hoon Kanya Kunwari, apologise to her for having put up a publicity banner of the film in Mumbai, showing her bare back.

Point to note is that Shweta has appeared in a hot item song-dance for the film. After participating in such a dance, did she think, she’d be covered from top to toe in the film’s publicities? And if she was so bothered about revealing what she has – sex appeal, though she may prefer to call it talent – why did she in the first place agree to do the song? Those who’ve seen the dance in private previews of the film swear that her costume reveals more than it conceals.

Yes, but while her back is covered in the costume she has worn in the dance, her front side has been amply exposed. May be, that is why Shweta was angry with Tyagi – for showing off her bare back in the hoarding, and not her! For the movie buffs who can’t place Shweta, she’s the same girl who appeared in the Manisha Koirala-starrer Market recently.

Akshay’s Part of Largest Foreign-Bound Unit

Ever heard of a producer putting up a set in a foreign land? Well, that’s exactly what producer Sajid Nadiadwala is doing for his comedy flick, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Producers usually shoot on locations and bungalows when abroad. But besides that, Nadiadwala will also shoot on a huge set he is getting built in Mauritius.

Art director Sharmishta Roy is already there since 20 days with her team, busy erecting a huge set for the film starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. Roy’s set for the same film at Film City in Mumbai had become the talk of the industry for its fine detailing. Director David Dhawan is scheduled to shoot not just songs but also action scenes of the love triangle on the set in Mauritius and locations in the foreign country in a month-long stint beginning Jan. 9. Sajid is expected to take a unit of 300 people to Mauritius for the shoot.
