The Opposition LDF in Kerala began an indefinite siege of the state secretariat on Monday, demanding the resignation of chief minister.

For the last two months the state has been witnessing massive protests over the solar scam, in which the accused had flaunted their links with the CM's office. The latest protest directly turns the heat on Chandy.
"The LDF will continue the stir till the CM resigns," said CPM general secretary Prakash Karat, while inaugurating the siege.
Around one lakh workers had blocking the entry and exit points of the secretariat. But except stray incidents of stone throwing, no incidents of violence were reported.
"They are trying to topple a democratically elected government. Their demand is unjust," said Congress leader MM Hassan.
