But as Chief Minister he was entitled to security as was being enjoyed by former chief ministers Shanta Kumar and Prem Kumar Dhumal, he told reporters here after rounding off his three-day election tour of Hamirpur district.

He said Congress would sweep the Lok Sabha polls in the state as the "people were going all out to help the party form a government at the Centre".

Singh said top party leaders besides Priyanka Vadhra Gandhi, daughter of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, would campaign for party nominees in the state.

Ram Lal Thakur is the Congress nominee for Hamirpur seat.
