Ganja valued at Rs 80 lakh seized, two arrested

Eight kgs of ganja with an estimated street value of Rs 80 lakh was seized and two persons arrested in this connection at Paramakudi in Ramanathapuram district on Monday.

Police also seized the vehicle carrying the ganja, which was to be smuggled to Sri Lanka.

The arrested were identified as Mohammed Aneez(27) and Abudhagir(27), both hailing from Coimbatore.

Abudhagir, an accused in the Coimbatore serial blast case, was out on bail, police said.
