ICS course for senior officers concludes

THE FIVE-DAY advance course on Incident Command System for the senior IAS and IPS officers from Uttar Pradesh, Orissa , Jammu and Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh concluded today. The course began at the Disaster Management Institute on March 6 and concluded today.

THE FIVE-DAY advance course on Incident Command System for the senior IAS and IPS officers from Uttar Pradesh, Orissa , Jammu and Kashmir and Madhya Pradesh concluded today. The course began at the Disaster Management Institute on March 6 and concluded today.

According to a release, Disaster Management Institute has been selected as one of the six nodal training centres in India to impart training on Incident Command System to senior IAS and IPS officers of the country.

The institute had organised three training camps on Basic and Intermediate ICS Course and one advance course. ICS is a US-based system providing structured manpower and material during emergency.

Prof Dr PS Dubey, Chairman of MPPCB, Director of DMI Col AKS Parmar and Executive Director of DMI, SN Mishra were present at the valedictory session of the camp today.

The five-day course included modules on finance and administration section and logistics section chief rules and regulations during any incident or event. Apart from this the course also included twelve exercise sessions on different management aspects related to finance, administrations and logistics.

The course was directed by COL AKS Parmar and coordinated by Saurabh Kumar, Assistant Director, Disaster Management Institute.
