Jaikumar visits Museum of Man

GOVERNMENT OF India Culture Department joint secretary and vice-president of the executive council of the National Museum of Mankind, K Jaikumar, today visited the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya.

GOVERNMENT OF India Culture Department joint secretary and vice-president of the executive council of the National Museum of Mankind, K Jaikumar, today visited the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya.

During the visit, K Jaikumar looked around the various open-air exhibits and also the internal museum ‘Vithi Sankul’. IGRMS Director Professor Kishore K Basa and other senior officials of the museum accompanied K Jaikumar during his visit.

Later, giving his comments, the Union joint secretary said that visiting the IGRMS is a unique experience where the rich heritage of country has been exhibited with special sensitivity and artistry.

K Jaikumar maintained that the exhibits are showcase of the unique and various cultures and lifestyle of the people of the
country.

K Jaikumar held discussions regarding the future activities of the museum with the officials present and urged them to make continuing endeavours to bring the IGRMS on the map of the country and world.
