THIS IS the first time in Madhya Pradesh that so many prominent companies will be present on a single platform to select about 1,000 candidates, says Sunil Kapoor.

The chairman of the RKDF group was speaking about Lakshya 2006 at a press conference on Wednesday. The RKDF Group of Institutes would be organising Lakshya 2006 from November 24 to 26 on its campus at Mandideep.
“It is a general feeling in the industry that technical and skilled talent are available only in the northern and southern states but this is actually not true. Madhya Pradesh has the most number of technical and professional institutes.
So it is our endeavor to portray to the domestic and multi national companies that global standard material is available in our State,” said the newly-joined director (public relation) of RKDF Group of Professional Institutes Dr Vishnu Khanna.
Although the fair is mainly for students of 2006 and 2007 batches, all ex-students who are not satisfied with their present placements would also be entertained. About 300 colleges, including 86 from Chhattisgarh, have been formally invited for the job fair. The registration, open to all, will continue through colleges, online and on the spot at the venue during the fair till the last date. Students can register online on rkdf.ist@rediffmail.com.
Over 105 faculty members and 280 first and second-year students of the college will assist companies in conducting the fair. A well-defined system has been chalked out wherein students can apply and appear for interviews with multiple companies. Police security will be available at the venue.
