NSS teachers adopt 17-point charter to boost activities

NSS teachers working in Hamirpur, Una and Bilaspur districts adopted a 17-point charter to give boost to their activities during a meeting that concluded on Tuesday. Director, higher education, Dinkar Burathoki, chaired the programme that was held at Him Academy Public School.

The main items of the 17-point programme were organisation of blood donation camps, tree-plantation drive, preparing NSS cadets for national level camps and to organise various types of activities for them.

Addressing the teachers, Burathoki urged them to adopt afforestation drive on a large scale and ensure that each teacher and student plants five saplings of any species during the monsoon season. Director said the NSS programme was a grand success in Himachal Pradesh. He congratulated the teachers for this adding that there was a need to further strengthen the programme.

Earlier, Him Academy management honored the director with a shawl and cap. Director also planted a sapling on the school campus on this occasion.
