Protest staged against poor road connectivity

A protest demonstration was held by JKDF activists at Pacca Kotha in Billwar assembly segment against the PWD department and local MLA Manohar Lal Sharma. The protesters demanded better public utilities and other amenities in different villages of Billawar assembly segment. The protesters raised slogans against the MLA.

Condemning the state government's indifferent attitude, state president of youth wing of JKDF, Munish Khajuria, said, “Even 66 years after Independence, there is still no road connectivity to at least a dozen villages, including Parangoti, Kadetra, Sunkhal, Kamar, Saida, Badoli, Kandrad of the Kandi area falling in Bilawar Assembly segment of Kathua district.

He said that more than 20,000 people were suffering in abdence of road connectivity and other basic amenities. He accused the local MLA of indifferent towards the people's long pending demands.
