Road accident claim seven lives in Rohtak
Seven people died in an accident near Brahmanwas village of Rohtak when the car they were travelling in collided with a truck last night around 12.30 am. All victims hail from Gohana and were returning after attending a religious function.

The deceased including two minor children, hailed from Chopra colony of Gohana town of Sonepat district. As per details, family of Rajinder Kumar, a resident of Gohana were returning back to Gohana after attending a religious discourse(satsang) around around 1am today. As soon as their car reached near the village, it collided with a speeding truck from opposite side which blew the car apart. Five of them identified as Rajinder, 50, Shakuntala,46, Priya,15, Himanshu,10 and Mamta(12) died on the spot. While two out of three who were rushed to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences(PGIMS) died after reaching at the hospital.
They were identified as Sunita and Seema. Rinku, the lone survivor is being treated at PGIMS, who conditon is said to be serious. A police team led by inspector Satinder Kumar reached the spot to take stock of situation. The truck driver fled from the spot leaving behind his vehicle. Talking to HT, Sadar station house officer, Satinder Kumar said, "Four of the deceased were family members of Rajinder Kumar, while three others were from his cousins".
