Sikh pilgrims killed while returning from Hemkund Sahib

Two Sikh pilgrims were killed while returning from Hemkund Sahib today when their motorcycle was hit by an unknown vehicle on Rishikesh-Badrinath highway in Tehri district.

Two Sikh pilgrims were killed while returning from Hemkund Sahib today when their motorcycle was hit by an unknown vehicle on Rishikesh-Badrinath highway in Tehri district.

The accident occurred at Totaghati near Devprayag at 11.30 am when the youths, hailing from Amritsar, were returning on a motorcycle from the famous Sikh shrine in Garhwal Himalayas, Devprayag police station incharge Hemant
Khanduri said.

The deceased have been identified as Vikramjit Singh (22) and Vir Singh (21).


Both of them were killed on spot, Khanduri said, adding, a case has been registered and a search launched to track down the unidentified vehicle which knocked down the bikers.
