Suzuki had called on Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Saturday to thank his government for its support in last month's violence at the car major's Manesar plant.

The chairman of Maruti Suzuki India, RC Bhargava, said it was a courtesy call by Suzuki. However, Manesar incident was also discussed in the meeting. The managing director and chief executive officer of Maruti Suzuki India, Shinzo Naka Nishi, was also present.
On being asked about Maruti's project in Gujarat, Bhargava said it was part of the company's expansion plan and Hooda was aware about it.
