Trilogy launches India business

Austin-based Trilogy announces its foray into India with entry into two verticals, automotive and telecom.

Austin-headquartered Trilogy—a technology powered business service provider—on Saturday launched its India business, announcing its entry into two verticals, automotive and telecom.

The company, which "guarantees business value for its clients, tying its own revenue directly to the economic value its delivers" will focus on telecom and automotive verticals in India", Triology's Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Joseph A Liemandt told a press conference in Bangalore.

In automotive, Trilogy is launching the pre-launch service, already proven in the US. Using patented technologies, the company can predict consumer desires three months before the vehicle launch, enabling OEMs to drastically improve retail inventory mix at and following the launch, he said.

"Pre-launch generates mix and fill recommendations for the new and existing vehicle lines based on analysis of customer intent," Liemandt said, adding the company was in talks with American automotive major in India.

The other service, actual online car purchase, "Car Buyers Companion", which has received tremendous response in US will be launched later, he said.

Telecom vertical, focusing on the growing mobile industry, will develop and launch services that help mobile operators acquire high ARPU (average revenue per user) customers, reduce churn and increase ARPU from existing customers.

The first major service in this sector unveiled in Bangalore on Friday to be followed by other major metros, is, produced totally in-house.

"The services are in the skepticism stage and have to cross the pilot-proof stage to be accepted, which we are confident," Liemandt said.

The company has Fortune 500 companies as its customers, including Ford Motor Company, DaimlerChrysler and Nissan.

Trilogy employs 500 business professionals (out of which 300 are engineers in India) worldwide with offices in Bangalore, India and Hangzhou, China.

In US, it operates across two other verticals, insurance and consumer electronics.
