As if eve-teasing and flashing was not bad enough, cases of men masturbating at women have risen alarmingly in the past few months. The latest victim is Mumbai-based writer Maryanna Abdo, who has alleged that a man in South Mumbai masturbated looking at her when she was out walking on the street on Monday morning.

Abdo raised an alarm, and a couple of passersby came to help but the man fled. Despite the shock and humiliation, she showed tremendous presence of mind and clicked a picture of the alleged culprit.

An enraged Abdo went a step further and posted the man's picture on micro-blogging site Twitter. She followed it up with another tweet soon after to clarify that the two other men seen in the picture had actually responded to her calls for help. She also shared the location and time of the incident when a Twitter-user asked for the details.

Abdo’s Twitter profile says she is a writer based out of London, Los Angeles and Mumbai.
