From JNU to Ramjas, can you separate fact from fiction

Teachers, students and journalists were hurt on the Delhi University campus when student groups clashed over the disruption of a literary festival in Ramjas College.

Ramjas college’s Literary Society was hosting a seminar that it was forced to call off after members of BJP’s student wing, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), kicked up a fuss. Their reason: JNU students Umar Khalid and Shehla Rashid were among the speakers.

ABVP says it’s “anti-national” to invite Khalid, who was arrested in 2016 over sedition charges. He was organising a rally on the JNU campus in which anti-India slogans were allegedly heard. Rashid was then the JNU student union vice president.
