Robin Uthappa is living a charmed life in IPL 2017. He reached his fourth 50 this term and his second in as many matches for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). (KKR v DD BLOG | SCORECARD)

At the Eden Gardens against Delhi Daredevils (DD), the KKR No. 3 made good off an early reprieve to punish the visiting team bowlers with some daredevilry of his own.

Picking the length early and opening his shoulders like he did to Chris Morris in the eighth over, Uthappa punished anything that was slightly short-pitched.

With a single to short third man, he reached his 50 in 24 balls with five fours and three sixes. But like against Rising Pune Super Giant, Uthappa needed a reprieve to get there.

Delhi Daredevils thought they had got their man when in the sixth over, he skied Kagiso Rabada.

Amit Mishra and Sanju Samson converged but neither took the catch and the ball fell in no man’s land. Uthappa was on nine then. He celebrated with a four off the last ball.
