The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Monday said the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) sponsored chaurasi (84) kos yatra was not religious but political. Both SP and BJP planned the yatra to polarize the vote bank before 2014 Lok Sabha election.
National president of BSP, Mayawati said the SP and BJP was trying to create rift between the Hindu and Muslim community. The people understood the game plan of the both political parties and did not participate in the yatra.
To maintain communal harmony the central government should impose President rule immediately, she said and added Since SP came to power around two dozen communal violence have been reported in Uttar Pradesh. During BSP rule the communal elements were reined and rule of law was established. The BJP was completely marginalized in the state politics, she said.
Meanwhile BSP has raised objection to the removal of the security force from the Dalit memorials constructed during BSP regime. A delegation of the BSP leaders led by national general secretaries Swami Prasad Maurya and Naseemuddin Siddiqui met the principal secretary home, RM Srivastava and demanded that security force should not be removed.
Talking to the media persons Maurya and Siddiqui said if the security force was removed from the memorials the BSP would raise demand for the removal of the vice-chairman, LDA SP Tiwari.
