Officers told the court they want to ascertain the women’s role in the case. If they were buying illegally-produced hooch, they said the source is yet to be established. The court, however, slammed the crime branch saying the individual roles of the accused should have been established by now. The court noted that timely action on the sale of illicit liquor would have averted the incident. The court granted the police their custody till June 26 for further investigation.
