His track Maari Galli in Kangana Ranaut starrer Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) left thousands of music lovers entertained to the core and singer Dilbagh Singh is now waiting for an opportunity when he can sing for actor Akshay Kumar.

“I am a fan of Akshay Kumar. I think my voice would suit the best on him. My songs have a naughty flavour in it and they would be perfect on actors who make fun and entertain characters on screen. I hope to sing for Akshay some day,” says Dilbagh, who is ready with two Punjabi pop songs and one track titled Biba in an upcoming Bollywood film.

The singer, who recently collaborated with budding talent such as Milind Gaba for the track Thodi Jinni Peeti Hai, feels Punjabi music has always blended well with new genres of music.

“Punjabi music is singer based and new genres of music such as rap is a hit nowadays. Currently it is a trend and everyone is loving it but in a couple of years it may die down. However, the basic Punjabi music which has strong beats will never disappear from Indian music scene,” he says, adding, “However in the recent past, I have seen some songs without rap in them and they have done equally well. It is all about the demand of the audience.”
