Following guidelines issued by the state government, the district magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar, Suhas LY, kicked off the Sampoorn Samadhan Diwas — a programme to redress all forms of public grievances — on Tuesday at the Dadri tehsil headquarters. Similar programmes were held at the Jewar and Sadar tehsils, which were presided over by additional deputy magistrates, Gunja Singh and Prasun Dwivedi, respectively.
The programme will be held on the first and third Tuesdays of every month and is aimed at addressing the issues faced by the residents of the district. While 20 complaints were registered in Gautam Budh Nagar on Tuesday, a total of 68 complaints were received at the three tehsils taken together. Five out of 68 complaints were resolved on the spot itself.
The DM of Gautam Budh Nagar, Suhas LY, said the state government is very keen on the timely redressal of people’s grievances. “The officials of the district will have to understand that when it comes to addressing the issues faced by the people, no administrative ennui will be tolerated. The complaints must be redressed within the stipulated time period. Officials will have to visit the spot of complaints, and must post the details of the complaints online to maintain credibility,” he said.
The DM further said Samadhan is an integrated system for grievance redressal that aims to achieve good governance with the use of the latest technology. “A citizen can freely and conveniently file a complaint, track the grievance online, and expect timely redressal. Furthermore, the complainant can also interact with different offices concerned in an easy and transparent manner. Complaints from all sources will be available on a single platform to all departments that will improve accessibility and monitoring” he said.
The officials present at these functions appealed people to wear of masks, use sanitizers, and follow social distancing norms.
