Patna schools post 95 % pass in ICSE, CISCE exams

Students of St Jospeh’s Convent, Mount Carmel, International School and MG Public School scored a pass percentage of 100, to make it to the list of top perforrmers.

Schools in Patna registered an overall pass percentage of 95 in the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examination, the results of which were announced on Monday.

Around 3,000 students took the Class 10 examination while another 1,000 students appeared for Class 12 exams.

ICSE examination city co-ordinator Farhat Hassan said whereas the overall pass percentage was around 95, many schools had done better than that. Some schools including St Joseph’s Convent high school, St. Xavier’s School, International School, MG Public School and Mount Carmel had 100% pass percentage.

Don Bosco Academy had 100% pass parentage in Class 10 examination while in Class 12, one student out of 72 failed in Mathematics, leaving the school with pass percentage of 98.

St. Joseph’s Convent produced the city toppers in Class 10 and all streams of Class 12. Sakshi Verma of St. Joseph’s Convent, Jethuli, Fatuha, near Patna, scored 98.6% to become the city topper in Class 10 while Vishwa Rakesh of St. Joseph Convent ,Patna scored 98.4%, bagging the position of second toper.

Apoorva Raghav of Don Bosco Academy emerged school topper with 98% in Class 10. Tushar Raj of St. Paul’s High School became topper of his school by scoring 97.8%. In Mount Carmel High School, Simran Singh became class 10 school topper by scoring 97.6%.The school secured 100% pass results, all in first division.

Aumkar Pranav Shukla of International School scored 97.4 to bag the first position in his school while Shivam bagged second position with 97%. Anwesha Majumdar of MG Public School scored 96% in her class 10 examination to top in her school, while Amisha Kumari scored 95%.

In Jesus and Marry School, with a pass percentage of 93, Ayush Kumar and Manav Kumar Sharma tied for the position of school topper, with each scoring 94%. Shushant Kumar, AKash Raj and Aman Mehta scored 93%, each. St. Albert High School had Naman Raj as the school topper with 93.6 %.

In Class 12, toppers from Patna St. Joseph’s Convent, Mount Carmel and Don Bosco Academy,each scored above 90 %.

St. Joseph’s Convent School had all the three toppers of Patna. Aishwarya Raj of St. Joseph Convent Patna scored 93.2 % in science, Esha Jyoti scored 94.75 % in Commerce and Anshu Pandey scored 95.5 % in Arts stream to secure the coveted top positions..

In Mount Carmel School, the top scorers were Amartullah Madarwala of science stream (Maths) with 92.2 % and Simran Khan with 90.6 %, emerged as first and second rank holders, respectively. In commerce, Munira Lodghar topped the school with 93% and Marisha Shandilya in arts secured 93.8 %, bagging the top spot.

Don Bosco Academy had as its school topper Abhigyan Prakash of science stream with 90.25 % while Kajal Kumari secured 85.75 % in commerce to become the school topper in her stream.
