Taking a jab at the UPA-II government Union minister Arun Jaitley speaking on day 2 of HTLS 2018 said that “Nothing could be worse than 2013. The current account deficit was 4.7%. The average rate of inflation under UPA-II was 10.4%.” Jaitley also said that there are huge avenues for growth for Indian economy in the next 10-20 years, adding that India’s ability to maintain present growth rate for a decade or two is certain.
