Australian national dies at Kasol, police deny foul play

An Australian national died at Kasol in Manikaran area of Kullu district due to ill health on Tuesday evening. According to police information, deceased Oliver Francis Joseph visited Manikran area on June 15.

An Australian national died at Kasol in Manikaran area of Kullu district due to ill health on Tuesday evening. According to police information, deceased Oliver Francis Joseph visited Manikran area on June 15.

A police official said condition of Joseph deteriorated while taking bath on Tuesday and his associates rushed him to a nearby health centre at Jarri for medical aid.

The doctors on duty at Jarri health centre had given him medical treatment but he could survive. The post mortem of the body had been conducted at regional hospital, Kullu.

The police have informed the embassy and have denied any foul play behind the Joseph’s death.
