Bathinda: Three booked for murdering man

The police have booked three people for allegedly murdering a man because one of the accused suspected that the victim was having illicit relations with his wife.

The police have booked three people for allegedly murdering a man because one of the accused suspected that the victim was having illicit relations with his wife.

On a complaint filed by the victim Jagsir Singh's mother Paramjit Kaur, a resident of Rampura, the police have booked Jeet Singh, Harwinder Singh, Gursewak Singh, all residents of Rampura, under sections 302, 364 and 34 IPC.

None of the accused has yet been arrested. Investigation officer ASI Baljitpal at Rampura Sadar police station, said that Jeet Singh had been suspecting that victim Jagsir Singh had illicit relations with his wife and the three plant to kill him, so they abducted him on a motorcycle on May 21. The victim's body with injury marks with sharp-edged weapons was later found in the Bathinda branch of Sirhind canal.
