CBSE Class 12 results: Girls outshine boys again by bagging top positions
Girls outshone boys once again and proved their mettle in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class-12 exams, result of which was declared on Monday. The female scholars managed to secure top positions in the city.

Harleen Hanspal, a student of non-medical at Police DAV Public School, topped the city by bagging a 97.8% marks. Daughter of a life insurance agent father and homoeopathic doctor mother, Harleen said the result was unexpected for the family and they are absolutely elated.
"While preparing for the examinations, I just focussed on regular studies and followed guidelines of my teachers," said Harleen, who wants to become an engineer and has already appeared in entrance examinations for various institutions.
Her word of advice to all those wishing to bag a good score in the CBSE exams is to follow guidelines of teachers and to always clear all doubts before sitting in the exam.
Gurnoor Kaur, a student of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, GT Road, scored 97.2% marks in commerce stream, while Divita Gupta, a student of The Senior Study II School bagged 97% marks in the non-medical stream.
Rahil Dutt (non-medical) from Spring Dale Senior School scored 96.8% marks, while Dhruv Sharma (non-medical) bagged the second position by securing 96.2% marks along with Nikhil Mannan of DAV International School.
Srishti Mahajan from The Senior Study II School and Ayush Arora of DAV Public School scored 96% marks each in commerce stream. Kushaldeep Gill (commerce) of Spring Dale Senior School and Hemdeep Singh (medical) were tied at the third place by obtaining 95.8% marks each.
Dhruv Sabharwal and Gurseerat Sandhu of commerce stream at DAV Public School secured 95.6% marks each. Vidit Vansil of commerce stream at DAV International School secured 95.4%, while Jasmeet Kaur from Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, GT Road, got 95% marks in the non-medical stream.
Ankush Sharma of DAV International School bagged 94.2% marks in the medical stream, while Kaynat Ohri from Delhi Public School in the commerce stream also had a similar score. Surabhi Anand of Ryan International School bagged 93.6% marks in the science stream. Akshita Khanna from The Senior Study II School bagged 93% marks in the medical stream while Jaspreet Kaur from Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, GT Road, got 93% marks in the arts stream.
Aastha Sharma from Khalsa College Public School secured 92.8% marks in commerce stream. Rajat Chhabra of the science stream from Delhi Public School bagged a score of 91.6%. In medical stream, Gurleen Kaur and Arshpreet Kaur stood first by scoring 91% marks, while Tanpreet Sachdev scored 90% marks in commerce stream.

Celebrations galore
Celebrations were the order of the day at the local schools. School staff and principals honoured all the students of respective schools who managed to bag above 80% marks. The students danced to the beats of dhol to celebrate their success in the exams.
