Dal Khalsa leaders Satnam Singh, Dr Manjinder Singh and spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh, in a statement, said, "The Centre's proposed move would further deepen the sense of alienation among Sikhs against the (Indian) state as scores of youth were butchered during the former Congress leader's regime in the 1990s."

Dr Manjinder urged the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Damdami Taksal and the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) to lodge a protest with the Centre against the stamp.
