Mohali vigilance bureau on Thursday arrested Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) estate office superintendent Narinder Pal Singh and a peon, Karam Singh, on corruption charges.
They were arrested while accepting Rs 35,000 as bribe from complainant Naseeb Singh Sandhu. Sources said the duo were nabbed from Sector 66 in SAS Nagar.
The superintendent and the peon had asked for money to issue a no-objection certificate to the resident for construction of his house. Both were caught red-handed by the vigilance bureau.
