Fresh, breezy and young! These words best describe the trailer of Mani Ratnam’s new Tamil film, OK Kanmani (O Kadhal Kanmani) starring Dulquer Salmaan, son of Malayalam veteran Mammootty and Nithya Menen.
The trailer opens with a young couple taking a joy bike ride on city roads, without a care in life. Only we don’t get to see their faces. However, what hits you and, for most parts, stays with you is the music. AR Rahman’s introductory track is young, urbane and utterly optimistic – everything you would associate with love and youth.

OK Kanmani marks Ratman’s return to romantic drama after a gap of 15-odd years. His last outing was Madhavan-starrer Alaipayuthey.
The film also marks the reunion of Ratnam with lensman PC Sreeram after a decade. It is also one of his quickest projects, completed within two months.
Some crucial portions of the film have been shot in Mumbai, IIM Ahmedabad campus as well as CPET University. Nithya plays an architect in the film and renowned Indian architect BV Doshi plays her professor.
