Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s decision to show up for meetings with potential investors dressed in his trademark casual outerwear indicates that he's too immature to run a massive corporation, an analyst has said.

Michael Pachter, an analyst for US-based Wedbush Securities, said during an interview with Bloomberg TV that Zuckerberg’s casual sweatshirts with hoodie has to go.

“Mark and his signature hoodie: He's actually showing investors he doesn’t care that much; he's going to be him. I think that''s a mark of immaturity,” News.com.au quoted Pachter, as saying.

“I think that he has to realise he's bringing investors in as a new constituency right now, and I think he’s got to show them the respect that they deserve because he’s asking them for their money,” he added.

Facebook declined to comment on Pachter's criticisms, but the fact that Wall Street is even talking about what Zuckerberg chooses to wear to work hints at a nervousness that goes way beyond fashion.

According to the report, Pachter was slammed for his remarks, with comments on Twitter.

“Analysts criticizing Mark Zuckerberg for wearing a hoodie today is like squares making fun of Johnny Cash for wearing black,” a Twitter user wrote.

“Onion headline or real headline?' Analyst Slams Mark Zuckerberg For Wearing His Hoodie To IPO Meeting,” wrote another user.

According to the report, Pachter's criticisms are Wall Street's way of telling Facebook: ‘We don't want your boy doing unpredictable and unconventional stuff that will end up on the front page of a newspaper.’
