Several technologies have attempted to make CDs and their contents uncopiable, but none are fool-proof. The determined merely clone the CD with locks and all, to another blank CD. Encrypted or locked data can also be broken. The newer technology of DVD has much tougher security and restrictions in place, but many of these too have been circumvented.
