Research In Motion (RIM) has launched the new Blackberry Pearl 3G — touted to be the smallest Blackberry smartphone yet — in India. The Pearl 3G, which is less than 50 mm wide and weighs 93 g, will support high-speed 3G connectivity.
This phone also features an optical trackpad, a 3.2 MP camera with flash support, a media player for pictures, video and music and external storage up to 32 GB.
Two variants of the smartphone will be available in India: the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 that features a 20-key condensed QWERTY keyboard, and the BlackBerry Pearl 9105, which has a 14-key keyboard.
Another screen for movies
The new G-Fone 571 promises to make movie viewing on the mobile a breeze with superior video playback. The phone is equipped with a 208 Mhz processor and provides fast connectivity to the Internet, both on the phone as well as through your laptop.
The display and playback of various multimedia content is also quite quick because of that. There is bluetooth feature as well. Another surprise is the motion sensor. The expandable memory is upto 8 GB and also supports Java applications.
The 571 boasts of a 2.2 inch, 64K screen. It features a built-in modem, EDGE connectivity, the Opera Mini browser, a 1.3 Mega Pixel camera with flash and a dual SIM option.
It supports MP4 video playback and has an additional feature of FM radio too. It also offers access to social networking features such as SNAPTU and Nimbuzz. It is quite social networking friendly This phone’s got GPRS feature too. The G-Fone 571 is priced at Rs 3,999.
