HTC U11 EYEs with dual selfie cameras launched: Price, specifications, features

HTC on Monday launched a new smartphone under its U series. Called HTC U11 EYEs, the smartphone is currently available in China and Taiwan at CNY 3,299 which translates to roughly Rs 32,664. The smartphone comes in three colour options --black, silver, and red. There’s no word on a global launch so far.
The highlight of HTC U11 EYEs is its dual camera up front which work together to deliver DSLR-like bokeh mode on selfies. The setup includes a pair of 5-megapixel cameras with f/2.2 aperture. You can also adjust the depth effect after the photo is taken. There’s also a beauty mode and stickers for selfies.
HTC U11 EYEs also features ‘Face Unlock’ which can be triggered by squeezing on the sides of the smartphone, courtesy of Edge Sense technology.

HTC U11 EYEs features a 6-inch full HD+ display with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 on top. It’s an edge-to-edge display with 18:9 screen-to-body ratio.

Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 processor, it comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. At the rear, there’s a single 12-megapixel camera with f/1.7 aperture, LED flash, and UltraSpeed Autofocus.
HTC U11 EYEs carries the biggest battery in an HTC smartphone so far with 3,930mAh along with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0. For connectivity, the smartphone offers options like dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port.
The smartphone, however, lacks a headphone jack. HTC U11 EYEs also comes with IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. On the software front, it runs Android 7.1 Nougat with HTC’s Sense UI.
