Google is bringing incognito mode to Maps. Focusing on privacy, Google announced this feature at its I/O 2019 conference.
Incognito mode on Google Maps can be turned on and off with a single tap. Users can tap on their profile photo up on Maps and select ‘Incognito Mode’ from the list of options. Google Maps will then switch to incognito mode. Like Google Chrome, incognito mode on Maps will save any data on the user’s account.
Users can search for locations, navigate on Maps and none of this data will be stored, Google says.
