OnePlus 6 is finally here. Successor to the last year’s OnePlus 5T, OnePlus’ latest phone comes with superior specifications and new features. Check out full specifications, features and price details of OnePlus 6.

OnePlus on Wednesday took the wraps off its much awaited flagship smartphone, OnePlus 6. Launched at an event in London, OnePlus 6 will be available in three variants with the base model starting at £469 which rounds off to Rs 42,900 approximately. OnePlus 6 will arrive in India on May 17 with its sale starting on May 21 via Amazon India.

OnePlus 6 comes with incremental updates over its predecessor and also some new design changes. The most striking change is the iPhone X-like notch display and also a Gorilla Glass 5 back panel. OnePlus 6 is also water resistant which is a first for the company.

OnePlus 6 comes with a 6.28-inch full optic display with aspect ratio of 19:9. Under the hood of the smartphone runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor. For photography, OnePlus 6 sports a dual-camera setup which is a combination of 20-megapixel and 16-megapixel sensors. The dual cameras feature optical image stabilisation, electronic image stabilisation, and slow motion video recording at 480fps.

On the software front, OnePlus 6 runs OxygenOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone is also eligible for Android P public beta. Its connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, and NFC. OnePlus 6 is fuelled by a 3,300mAh battery along with support for the company’s Dash Charge.

10:10pm: OnePlus 6 price announced: The base variant is priced at USD 529, which is Rs 35,000.

10:09pm: OnePlus 6 will be available in Mirror Black and Midnight Black starting May 22 in select markets. The limited edition Silk White will be available starting June 5.

10:06pm: OnePlus 6 camera also comes with ultra slow-motion feature. At 480 frames per second, OnePlus 6 is the only phone capable of shooting up to 1 minute of ultra slow motion video, claims the company.

10:05pm: OnePlus 6 also comes with Portrait mode. The secondary sensor helps focus on subject. The company claims OnePlus 6 has the fastest Portrait mode ever. The mode also comes with a set of modes. A software update in the coming weeks will enable Portrait Mode for the front-facing camera.

9:59pm: OnePlus will be rolling out Android P Beta support later this month. The company says it has also worked to improve Oxygen OS to make the UI bloatware free, lighter and faster.

9:58pm: OnePlus 6 also comes with Face Unlock feature.

9:57pm: OnePlus says Snapdragon 845 SoC helps make OnePlus 6 30% faster experience, 30% better graphics, and 10% more power efficient than the predecessor.

9:56pm: OnePlus says its phones don’t slow down after a few months of usage. To achieve this, OnePlus worked on optimising software and hardware.
