OnePlus 7 series officially launched in India, prices start at Rs 32,999

OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 smartphones launched in India. The new OnePlus 7 series comes with upgrades in design, camera and specifications. Here are the highlights from OnePlus 7 series launch.

OnePlus unveiled its latest OnePlus 7 series in India today. The company unveiled new phones, OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, along with the Bullets Wireless 2.

OnePlus 7 Pro comes with major upgrades in terms of design with a curved bezel-less display and pop-up selfie camera. The smartphone also features triple rear cameras. As for the OnePlus 7, it comes with incremental upgrades over the OnePlus 6T.

OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will be available online starting May 17. Amazon Prime members can get it a day early on May 16. OnePlus 7 starts at Rs 32,999 and comes in a new red colour. OnePlus 7 Pro will be offered in three variants at a starting price of Rs 48,999.

OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7: Price

OnePlus 7 Pro will start at Rs 48,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant, and Rs 52,999 for the 8GB+256GB model. The premium 12GB+256GB variant of OnePlus 7 Pro is priced at Rs 57,999

OnePlus 6GB+128 will retail at Rs 32,999, while the 8GB+256GB will be available at Rs 37,999. OnePlus 7 Pro Mirror Gray edition will go on sale on May 17, and the Nebula Blue colour variant on May 28. The ‘Almond’ coloured model of OnePlus 7 Pro will be available in June.

Amazon Prime users can get it a day early on May 16. OnePlus Wireless Bullets 2 are priced at Rs 1,590

Like the OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7 comes with the same 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor.

OnePlus announces OnePlus 7, the successor to OnePlus 6T. OnePlus 7 looks quite similar to the OnePlus 6T with a dewdrop styled notch, flat display and glass body. The smartphone comes with a new red colour variant for the OnePlus 7. It comes with Snapdragon 855 chipset, RAM Boost, and 20W fast charging. It also comes with UFS 3.0.

OnePlus is bringing screen recorded to OxygenOS with the latest update. OnePlus is also introducing zen mode to monitor usage of smartphones. The company also announced new India-centric features coming to OnePlus phones soon. OnePlus will integrate cricket scores in partnership with ESPN. This feature will arrive this month before the World Cup.

OnePlus 7 Pro runs on OxygenOS based on Android 9 Pie. OnePlus 7 Pro comes with smoother and more intuitive gestures. The smartphone is also eligible for Android Q beta along with OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T.

OnePlus 7 Pro comes with dual stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos for audio. OnePlus has also improved the vibration motor with X-axis Haptic Vibration motor. OnePlus says this will help in gaming.

OnePlus 7 Pro comes with UFS 3.0 support for faster data transfer. OnePlus 7 Pro packs a bigger 4,000mAh battery along with Warp Charge 30 fast charging.

OnePlus 7 Pro camera achieves a score of 111 on DxOMark. This is the highest score that a OnePlus smartphone has reached.

OnePlus 7 Pro: Rear cameras

OnePlus 7 Pro features a triple-camera setup at the rear. The smartphone features a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.6 aperture and OIS. There’s also a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom.

OnePlus 7 Pro features a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera which opens in 0.53 seconds. OnePlus says that the pop-up camera on the OnePlus 7 Pro can be opened 50 times daily and it will still last for 16 and a half years. OnePlus also demonstrated this feature where the phone’s camera goes back inside if it drops.

OnePlus announced its partnership with streaming platform, Netflix. OnePlus 7 Pro users can now watch HDR 10 content on Netflix. OnePlus is also using the OnePlus 7 Pro camera for posters and BTS shoots of Sacred Games season 2.

OnePlus 7 Pro features a ‘Fluid AMOLED’ display with no notch, and no punch-hole camera. It has a 6.67-inch Quad HD+ display with 93% screen-to-body ratio, 90Hz refresh rate and HDR 10+ support.
