Xiaomi is set to launch a new smartphone in India on Monday. Called Redmi Note 7S, Xiaomi’s next smartphone will come with 48-megapixel rear camera.

Ahead of the official India launch, Xiaomi has given a preview of Redmi Note 7S. In a tweet posted by company VP Manu Kumar Jain, a red colour model of Redmi Note 7S is seen. The device features a fingerprint sensor on the back and a vertically aligned dual-rear camera. Xiaomi has also confirmed the smartphone will come with Gorilla Glass 5 back panel.

It is worth noting that Xiaomi’s current 48-megapixel camera phone, Redmi Note 7 Pro, also comes with Gorilla Glass back panel. The new Redmi Note series also comes with gradient back panel. Redmi Note 7S also has a similar design.

Xiaomi Redmi 7S is said to be the China version of Redmi Note 7 which also sports a 48-megapixel camera. The India version of Redmi Note 7 sports 12-megapixel and 13-megapixel rear cameras. READ: Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 vs Note 7 Pro vs Note 7 China model

Xiaomi’s Redmi 7 series has been a big hit in India. Within two months of its launch, Xiaomi has sold 2 million units.

“We continue to diligently ramp up our Redmi Note 7 series supply, thereby ensuring that our Mi fans and consumers in India can easily access and enjoy the best of our innovative technology in the market,” the company said earlier this week.
