Sony on Thursday launched a new smartphone, Xperia XA1 Plus, in India. Priced at Rs 24,990, the smartphone will go on sale from September 24. The Sony Xperia XA1 Plus will be available in black, blue and gold colour options.
The highlight of the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus is the 23-megapixel rear camera featuring a large 1/2.3 Exmor RS mobile sensor, brighter f/2.0 aperture and a Hybrid auto-focus. Sony claims the smartphone comes with “superior lowlight” photography capabilities.

The smartphone measures 155 x 75 x 8.7 mm and weighs around 190 grams. It sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with an “Image Enhance Technology.” It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and Mali T880 GPU. The smartphone comes with 32GB of built-in storage and supports expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card.
Along with a 23-megapixel rear camera, the Xperia XA1 Plus also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.4 Exmor R sensor and 23mm wide-angle lens.
Connectivity options include VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and USB Type-C. The smartphone is powered by a 3,430mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive fast charging technology. The Xperia XA1 Plus also has a fingerprint scanner which is embedded into the power button on the side. The smartphone comes with a “ClearAudio+ Sony audio technology and Smart Amplifier” for louder and clearer audio experience.
