Xiaomi's latest Android One phone, Mi A2, is finally here. The successor to the popular Xiaomi Mi A1, the phone runs on stock Android (Oreo) out-of-the-box.

Xiaomi Mi A2 is available with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which is priced at ₹16,999. Xiaomi will be launching another variant of Mi A2 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage soon. Pre-orders for Mi A2 begin tomorrow at Mi.com and Amazon, and the phone will be shipped within a week. The first sale for Mi A2 will take place on August 16 via Amazon, mi.com and Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi preferred partners. Reliance Jio is offering an instant cashback of ₹2,200 along with up to 4.5TB of data with the new Xiaomi phone.

Xiaomi Mi A2 runs stock Android courtesy of Google Android One programme. Mi A2 will also come with minimum bloatware and will receive regular security updates. Xiaomi Mi A2 will also be among the first wave of phones to receive Google's latest Android Pie update.

For photography, Xiaomi Mi A2 offers a dual-rear camera setup, consisting of 12-megapixel Sony IMX 486 sensor with f/1.75 aperture, and 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor. For selfies, the Mi A2 has a 20-megapixel front-facing camera along with flash or "selfie-light". The selfie camera also delivers DSLR-like shallow depth-of-field.

In terms of connectivity, the phone comes with Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C support and dual-SIM functionality. It doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is powered by a 3,010mAh battery. The smartphone is compatible with Quick Charge 4+ which will be available to purchase via mi.com later this year.
